Prakash Belawadi
Mentor
Prakash Belawadi is an Indian theater, film, television and media personality, an activist and a journalist from Bangalore. He co-founded the Centre for Film and Drama in 2004. He is a proud recipient of the Karnataka Nataka Academy Award (2012) for his contribution to English and Kannada language theatre. He has also received the National Film Award (2002) for his directorial film Stumble; and the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Play (2019) for Counting and Cracking. As an actor, he has worked in 75 odd films in 5 languages and directed about 50 plays in English and Kannada languages.

Anand Varadaraj
Artistic Director
Anand Varadaraj is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Bangalore International Short Film Festival (started in 2010). The only Oscar-accredited festival in India.
Actor, producer and member of Suchitra Film Society – 50 year old organisation. Anand is also the Trustee of the Centre for Film and Drama, Additionally, Anand collaborates and mentors many independent filmmakers and producers for their new ventures. He is produces five shorts this year as part of the BISFF Goethe Program to help young filmmakers.
His experience with cinema is global with several International cultural Forums in his repertoire, including curating of Film Festivals and also as Jury for organisations across the globe. He presented shorts films in Hamburg in June 2025 and was the Jury at Kinoproba festival in Russia in 2024. He was the Jury chair of the Aladerii Film Festival ,Chicago – 2022. He is a regular visitor to Cannes, Berlinale and Goteborg Film Festival. His affiliations overseas include but are not limited to Oberhausen – Germany, Sapporo Short Film Festival – Japan and Haifa International Film Festival – Israel.

Nikhil Bharadwaj has been a vibrant presence in Bangalore’s theatre scene for over 15 years. From stage management and sound design to program coordination, publicity, casting, and acting—he’s worn many hats (sometimes all at once!) and has contributed to over a hundred national and international film and theatre productions. He’s played a key role in some of the city’s most exciting festivals, including the Bengaluru International Film Festival, Ranga Shankara Festival, and the Attakkalari Biennial. Off stage, Nikhil brings his creative spark to ad and documentary shoots across Bengaluru. These days, he’s leading teams in the booming world of audiobooks—turning pages into performances and voices into magic, one story at a time

Nisarga J ,Festival Coordinator at the Bangalore International Short Film Festival (BISFF)has been in the team for over seven years, driven by her deep love for art and cinema. She coordinates the festival with precision, seamlessly bringing together filmmakers, artists, and audiences. Alongside this, Nisarga works as a social media and marketing manager, where her creativity and strategic thinking help brands connect with their audiences.

With over five years of hands-on experience in festival programming, film screenings, and technical operations, Rahul adds a professional touch to the art of filmmaking. By day, he navigates the world of investment banking, by night, he curates cinematic experiences.
