Women's Cinema Collective
A Category That Celebrates Women Behind the Camera.
A dedicated section that spotlights films directed by women. It includes films spanning genres, forms, and geographies, from intimate character-driven stories to bold cinematic experiments.
Curated by a jury of women filmmakers, critics, and industry professionals, the programme celebrates distinct voices and perspectives, creating a space where women tell stories on their own terms through the language of short cinema.
ABOUT THE LOGOThe identity is anchored by a downward-facing triangle, a traditional kolam symbol associated with femininity and the feminine spirit. The layered squares unfold into the form of a lotus, which is a subtle reference to Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom. It also symbolises creativity and the arts, while the overall silhouette gently evokes the presence of a nurturing maternal figure.
Its palette is led by purple, the colour most widely associated with women's movements around the world, accented with touches of yellow that recall adornment, celebration, and the richness of feminine expression.
