Amidst the bedlam of a crowded public hospital in Mumbai, Dr. Zain, a skilled E.R. physician, believes in the empirical certainty of science above all else. When an elderly woman is rushed in after a heart attack, she asks him for the one thing he cannot prescribe; the recitation of a chapter from the Quran. Spiritual solace. Firm in his convictions and adamant about not overstepping his role, Zain finds himself at an impasse as the woman's plea grows more desperate.
