This category celebrates screendance as a distinct art form, a form where choreography and cinematography are conceived as one, each shaping the other from the very first frame.
This programme celebrates films created specifically for the screen, where movement is inseparable from the language of cinema. It is not about documenting dance performances or presenting music videos. It is about works in which the camera becomes an active participant, moving with the body and transforming choreography into a cinematic experience.
We seek films that could only exist as film.
ABOUT THE LOGOThe identity draws inspiration from cherry blossoms, which has been long associated with harmony, renewal, and the fleeting beauty of life across many Asian cultures. Four stylised blossoms come together to form the shape of an eye, symbolising cinema's power to shape the way we see the world.
Soft pinks evoke compassion and hope, while yellow accents bring a sense of clarity, warmth, and optimism. Together, the elements reflect a way of seeing that is rooted in beauty, balance, and possibility.
